Fr Chimkanda appointed National Chaplain
The Episcopal Conference of Malawi has announced the appointment of Fr Henry Chimkanda as the National Chaplain for the Legion of Mary, Catholic Men Organization and the Association of Ex-Seminarians.
Through a communication released on 24th October, 2022, signed by its Secretary General Fr Alfred Chaima, the appointment is with immediate effect.
“I write to communicate to you that during the Permanent Council of the Episcopal Conference of Malawi, held on 23rd September2022 in Blantyre, the Bishops appointed you as the National Chaplain for the Legion of Mary, Catholic Men Organization and Association of Ex-Seminarians.” Reads the letter addressed to Fr Chimkanda.
Fr Henry Chimkanda comes from dedza Diocese and has previously held so many National positions in the church.
The Legion of Mary, Catholic Men Organization and the Association of Ex-Seminarians are some of the lay groups in the Church, through which the faithful participate in the mission of the universal Church here on earth.
