SOCIAL RESEARCH AND COMMUNICATION COMMISSION

SOCIAL RESEARCH AND COMMUNICATION COMMISSION

The Social Communications and Research Commission is the arm of the diocese of Chikwawa that is responsible for connecting the diocese to the rest of the world through public image management, making the diocese visible and propagate the faith and the gospel through information technology.

ITS ACTIVITIES

Within the core of its operations are activities such as, news gathering, news dissemination, evangelization and preaching the gospel.

In news gathering, the commission is assisted by communication correspondents who were trained from all the parishes within the diocese. These share with the office events in their respective parishes to be publicized.

In dissemination of news, the commission will make use of different social media fora, mainstream media institutions, and of course in the near future, our own diocesan website. Through the same fora, the commission will seek to exploit advancements in communication to evangelize.

This will be the official mouthpiece of the directorate.

 FUNDING

Currently, the commission relies on two sources of funding namely, collection from the Communications Sunday but also funding from Signis.
