The Hand that Giveth is a charity initiative that was started after its initiator, Fr Malata felt the need to assist two little kids who were severely impoverished after they had lost their dad, who was attacked by a crocodile on his usual fishing duty. Since then, Fr Malata has been fundraising through Facebook and whatsap to assist different kids in different sorts of needs. He did the same with one other small girl who had no proper clothes to dress herself.

A visit to the Mustard Seed Communities home in Chikwawa is the third activity of this sort. Mustard Seed Communities is an organization that provides home based care for kids who have different needs and problems including illnesses, loss of parents, disabilities and so forth.

It is the wish of the initiator of The Hand that Giveth that more well – wishers join in to assist so that it might reach out to more people who are in need.
