Pope Francis has been taken ill and is in hospital, the Vatican has announced.
The Roman Pontiff complained of discomfort in the respiratory processes and as is the customary medical routine, went to Gemelli for scheduled medical check ups.

The results from the hospital show a respiratory infection that excludes Covid 19 but the condition needs close monitoring hence the decision to hospitalize the Holy Father.
Born in 1936 in Argentina, Pope Francis was elected Pope in 2013, has had a few health issues of late some mainly due to old age.
