Bishop Musikuwa makes new appointments
Bishop Peter Martin Musikuwa has made new pastoral appointments following the ordination of four new priests.
In a circular dated 8th August, the Bishop has addressed priests, religious and the faithful of the new appointments.
The appointments are as follows:
- Fr Joseph Gift Chikwapa as Bishop’s Secretary and Diocesan Pastoral Coordinator
- Fr Francis Mpatsa as Diocesan Financial Administrator resident at Mzimu Woyera Seminary
- Fr Isaac Jackson as Director of Bangula Pastoral Centre
- Fr Alfeo Boloma as Chaplain for Chikwawa hospital and Prison and will be resident at Chikwawa Cathedral
- Fr Stanford Sungani as Diocesan Youth Chaplain and assistant priest at Chikwawa Cathedral
- Fr Yohane Mphimba as teacher and formator at Mzimu Woyera Seminary
- Fr Emmanuel Malikebu as assistant priest at Nchalo Parish
- Fr Tobias Gamera as assistant priest at Fatima Parish
- Fr Matthews Kamiza as assistant priest at Molere parish
The Bishop has also announced that the Diocese of Chikwawa has secured partnership with the Diocese of Clogher in Ireland where two pioneer priests will be sent for a period of three years. To that effect Fr Shadreck Malata and Fr Peter Tambala will leave for Ireland for supply mission and studies respectively.
