Nkhate Parish

It is also called Holy Spirit or Mzimu Woyera parish in vernacular Chichewa language

It was established in 1965

Found in Chikwawa district in the eastern bank of shire river and extends into the highlands in Thyolo district

Its postal address is Box 103 Chikwawa

The shallow lands off the banks of the shire experience floods during the rainy season and the highlands are often unreachable

Most of the people are farmers

The parish has a population of     15400   Catholics

Fr Samson Kayuni is the parish priest for the parish. Fr Benard Limani is curate at Nkhate parish.
