Catholic Women donate to Mzimu Woyera Seminary

An aura of joy and encouragement filled Mzimu Woyera Seminary campus as the Catholic Women Association Diocesan representatives paid a visit to staff and seminarians on Sunday 13th October 2024.

The visit marked, what is now, the traditional practice for the women lay group, which visits the seminary every year after their Diocesan Marian celebration.

In his remarks, Fr Shadreck Malata, who is the rector for the seminary, thanked the association for assisting the seminary in taking care of the leaners needs. He described the donation as hands since funds collected as fees from the students alone is not sufficient to run the seminary. He then made a call to all well wishers to help the seminary by making different donations.

CWA does this traditional gesture to encourage young boys who aspire to be priests in the future.

In the 2024 – 2025 academic calendar, the seminary has a total of 182 learners.
