Trinity College Launch Learning block and Staff offices
There was excitement amongst staff and leaners of Trinity College of Health Sciences as the institution officially launched a morden classroom block and three staff offices.
The 16th September launch added further to diocesan efforts of providing quality education at the institution.
Associate Professor Kafulafula who also chairs the college’s Board of Governance presided over the launch. He was flanked by Father Superior. Rev. Fr H. Biliwita, Sisters of Devine Providence led by Mother Superior Sr. Agnes Banda, The College Principal Mr G. Chipondeponde and many others.
In her speech, Associate Prof. Kafulafula applauded the College management for the completion of the construction project adding that it would address some learning challenges at the institution. He also commended authorities for a smooth implementation of the school’s 2020-2025 strategic plan.
Indeed the completed construction project is pathway to alleviating staff office shortages and inadequate classroom blocks at the institution.
In his remarks, the College Principal gave credit to the Proprietors, the board and staff members adding that the project has been a success due to team work. He nevertheless highlighted some existing challenges including inadequate financial resources to support their plans. He said the institution only relies of students tuition fees as source of revenue which is not substantial enough for the college to run smoothly.
The classroom block has been named “Edward Michaelis Teaching Block” in memory of Late Fr Edward Michelis who founded Sisters of Devine Providence-the Proprietors of this institution.
