St Lawrence Girls Secondary School ready for JCE and MSCE examinations
As this year’s Government administered Secondary School examinations are fast approaching, every Secondary Education Institution is busy doing final touches to their preparations.
In Chikwawa, St Lawrence Girls Secondary School, spared time to pray for Form 2 and Form 4 students. During the Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr John Lockie, who is Diocesan Youth Chaplain, special prayers were offered for the protection of the students, and blessings bestowed on both the students and their writing instruments.
Quoting the day’s first reading of the church’s liturgical calendar, Fr Lockie stressed that it was time for the students to depart from the common practices that people do as examinations approach and depend on God.
And speaking at the end of the service, Fr Lockie thanked the administration of the institution for inviting him to preside over the mass. He also had time to serve a few words of advice to the students. “As we still have few days to the start of our examinations, I urge you to keep on studying. Do not relax and make sure you stay away from any kind of disturbance” Said Fr Lockie.
In his remarks, Mr Christopher Moyo who is patron for Young Christian students, thanked Fr Lockie for his kind gesture by accepting to come and lead in the mass. He then wished all students well as the clocks keeps ticking down to the day of their examinations.
